⚡ Your Mission as Database Engineer:

As a Database Engineer with PostgreSQL expertise, you'll play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting our PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance, availability, and stability. You’ll collaborate with application teams to enhance database interactions, monitor system health, and implement recovery strategies during critical incidents.

You will be working on:

• CSGORoll — the world’s #1 skin gaming site. A community social gaming platform specifically designed for CS2 players, featuring unique in-house custom-built games, such as Roulette, Crash, Unboxing, and PVP.

• HypeDrop — a leading gamified shopping platform, where over 500,000 users experience the excitement of real-time mystery box openings, box battles, and customizable deals. Since 2018, HypeDrop has sold over 150 million boxes, revolutionizing the way people shop and win.

You will:

• Optimize and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance, stability, and availability by resolving bottlenecks, monitoring queries, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

• Monitor database clusters for instability, high CPU/IO usage, or unusual patterns in logs and metrics.

• Ensure system stability through manual interventions, cloud database management, and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.

• Advise on database architecture, contribute to design improvements, and promote a "database-first" approach for scalability and reliability.

• Support application teams by advising on database architecture and structure to align with best practices.

• Collaborate with application developers to optimize database interactions and improve overall system performance.

You will excel in this role if you possess:

• Expertise in PostgreSQL administration with 3-5 years of experience, particularly in high-load environments.

• Strong skills in query optimization, database contention issues, and locking mechanisms.

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions, particularly AlloyDB.

• Ability to perform manual interventions during high-pressure incidents.

• Deep understanding of database maintenance, including indexing, vacuuming, and backups.
