Head of Narrative
- Remote
Job description
CSGORoll is entering a new chapter. We're looking for a Head of Narrative to shape how the brand shows up in the world, not by running ad campaigns, but by producing genuinely interesting, premium entertainment and building a clearer, more credible identity for the brand.
We've navigated real public trust challenges with the gaming community. This role isn't about spin, it's about earning that trust back through work worth watching: cinematic productions, documentaries, creator collaborations, original formats, and community moments people actually want to engage with. You'll be the person who makes CSGORoll the producer of great stories, not the subject of difficult ones.
This is senior and strategic, but it's not a role you can do from a distance. You'll be defining direction and solving the practical problems, budgets, crews, partners, deadlines, that turn ambitious ideas into finished work.
What You'll Do
Define the direction
Set the long-term narrative and identity for CSGORoll, moving the brand past previous PR challenges.
Build a roadmap connecting content, productions, events, partnerships and community work into one coherent story — not disconnected campaigns.
Shift the org from reacting to conversations about the brand to proactively creating ones people want to have.
Build the function
Restructure and lead the teams behind content, brand, community and communications.
Introduce clear ownership and ways of working; remove silos between narrative/content and Product, commercial, and leadership.
Review current team structure, agencies and production partners, and change what isn't working.
Make the work
Lead development of high-production concepts: real-world crossovers, documentaries, interviews, original formats.
Own projects end-to-end, concept, budget, crew, talent, locations, schedule, post-production.
Build a bench of directors, producers, production companies and creators you trust and can call on.
Protect and rebuild trust
Take ownership of external reputation and how the brand responds to scrutiny.
Build communications that give context, address criticism directly, and stop old narratives from defining the future.
Work with leadership to anticipate reputational risk before it becomes a crisis.
Rebuild real relationships with players, creators, streamers and the wider esports ecosystem — collaborations that give something back, not just borrow credibility.
Job requirements
What We're Looking For
Senior leadership experience across content, brand, entertainment, communications or community, ideally having built or restructured a function like this before, not just operated within one.
A strong track record in high-end video production, ideally in esports, sports, or digital entertainment, you understand crews, budgets, and post-production, not just creative concepts.
Direct experience developing original entertainment formats, not just campaigns.
Real experience managing reputational challenges or crisis communications, bonus points if you've had to rebuild trust with a skeptical or online-native community specifically.
Strong instincts for gaming and creator culture. Familiarity with Counter-Strike/CS2 specifically is a plus, not a requirement.
Comfortable operating at both altitudes: setting strategy in the room with leadership, and being hands-on when a shoot is behind schedule or a partner needs steering.
